Surface density of synthetically tuned spinel oxides of Co3+ and Ni3+ with enhanced catalytic activity for methane oxidation

The catalytic activity for complete methane oxidation positively correlates with the amount of high valence metal cations on the spinel oxide surface. The 60 h hydrothermal NiCo2O4 porous nanosheets have the best catalytic performance with T90 = 325 oC.
