Cycloaddition of CO2 with epoxides by using an amino-acid-based Cu(II)-tryptophan MOF catalyst

An amino-acid-based Cu-containing MOF, CuTrp (Trp = L-tryptophan) was synthesized by direct mixing in methanol. The CuTrp showed good catalytic activity and recyclability in the synthesis of cyclic carbonates from epoxides and CO2.
