Synergic effects of CuxO electron transfer co-catalyst and valence band edge control over TiO2 for efficient visible-light photocatalysis

The CuxO grafted oxygen-rich TiO2 microspheres possessed efficient visible-light photocatalytic activity, where oxygen excess defects improved visible-light absorption and CuxO promoted the reduction of oxygen to O2·- and H2O2, thus facilitating charge separation.
