- Lewis acidity of MIL-100, MIL-110, and MIL-96 was studied by EPR and IR spectroscopy.
- Lewis acidity depends on the nature of metal (Al, Fe, Cr) and structure of MILs.
- Catalytic performance of MILs was studied in isomerization of α-pinene oxide.
- The catalytic properties of MILs depend on their structure and amount of Lewis acid sites.
- The unique structure of MIL-100 favors shape selectivity to campholenic aldehyde.
