Facile synthesis of palladium nanoparticles encapsulated in amine-functionalized mesoporous metal-organic frameworks and catalytic for dehalogenation of aryl chlorides

► Palladium NPs encapsulated in amino functionalized MIL-101(Cr)-NH2 have been prepared. ► The particles size (2.49 nm) of the obtained Pd NPs was in good agreement with the cage diameters. ► Palladium NPs exhibited high activities in the dehalogenation of aryl chlorides in water under mild conditions.
