Land reforms reflected in the farming landscape in East Bohemia and in Southern Sweden - Two faces of modernisation

► We examined land reforms effects in the farming landscape in Bohemia and in Sweden. ► Differing socioeconomic systems resulted in similar arable land patterns in both study areas. ► However, changes of the arable land may be timed differently. ► Agricultural modernisation in the Czech Republic and Sweden has a different historical background.
