MFIX simulation of NETL/PSRI challenge problem of circulating fluidized bed

▸ MFIX simulation of the third CFD challenge problem is reported. ▸ Comprehensive comparisons between modeling and experiment are made. ▸ CFD predicts the complex gas-solids flow reasonably well. ▸ Lessons learnt from modeling this challenge problem are presented.
