Membrane-assisted fluidized beds-part 1: Development of an Immersed Boundary Discrete Particle Model

▸ We implemented an Immersed Boundary Method into our Discrete Particle Model. ▸ At creeping flow with small time steps the drag force is predicted correctly. ▸ For moderate Reynolds numbers the model is in good agreement with the literature. ▸ Gas permeation through the membrane surface is implemented correctly.
