Modeling the cAMP desorption process from an anion exchange chromatography column

► A superficial desorption rate constant was introduced at liquid-solid interface. ► Pore diffusion coefficients cAMP were fitted to 5.71×10−10 m2/s in resin phase. ► The intraparticlar concentrations of cAMP- and counter-ion Cl− were studied. ► The desorption curves of column experiments were well predicted.
