A phenothiazine-based “naked-eye” fluorescent probe for the dual detection of Hg2+ and Cu2+: Application as a solid state sensor

A phenothiazine-based fluorescent probe was designed and synthesized for selective detection of Hg2+ (via Kucherov reaction) and Cu2+ (via soft-soft metal interactions). Probe could be employed as an optical solid sensor for Hg2+ and Cu2+ with significant color changes.186
