A nanostructured hybrid synthesized by the intercalation of CoTMPyP into layered titanate: Direct electrochemistry and electrocatalysis

► The intercalation hybrid of K2Ti4O9 with cobalt porphyrin was successfully prepared. ► The arrangement of CoTMPyP between the titanate nanosheets has been proposed. ► CoTMPyP-Ti4O9 hybrid shows good electrocatalytic activity toward 2e-reduction of O2.
