Enhancing the combustion of natural gas by electrochemical promotion of catalysis

► EPOC effect on natural gas combustion over Pd‐impregnated catalysts was studied. ► Combustion rate enhancements up to 250% upon positive polarizations were found. ► Electropromoted behavior of the reaction depended on the oxidation state of Pd.
