Silicon/graphene-sheet hybrid film as anode for lithium ion batteries

► We prepared a silicon/graphene-sheet hybrid film by combining EPD and RF magnetron deposition methods. ► The hybrid film shows enhanced adhesion between the silicon and current collector. ► A high capacity of 2204 mAh g− 1 can be obtained at 0.2° C. ► 87.7% of capacity is retained after 150 cycles at 0.2° C.
