Hyperbranched poly(ether-siloxane) amphiphiles of surprisingly high solubility in supercritical carbon dioxide

- A simple method for preparation of an inexpensive CO2-philic amphiphiles for solubilization and related applications was developed.
- The poly(ether-siloxane)s showed very good solubility in supercritical carbon dioxide.
- We showed that, it is possible to obtain copolymers containing both hydrophilic and hydrophobic parts which have better solubility in scCO2 than respective homopolymers.
