Supercritical carbon dioxide extraction of Gac oil

- Aril of Gac fruit (Momordica cochinchinensis Spreng) was extracted with SC-CO2.
- Carotenes concentration of extracted oil increases gradually at low pressure.
- Carotenes concentration can be found up to 11,000 ppm at high pressure.
- Chrastil's model was successfully used to describe solubility of Gac oil in SC-CO2.
