Quantitative analysis of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in solid residues from supercritical water gasification of wet sewage sludge

► The content and forms of PAHs in solid phase from SCWG of sludge was investigated. ► Process parameters were investigated to understand their effects on PAHs content and forms. ► The PAHs in the solid residue are mainly composed of 4-ring PAHs. ► High reaction temperature favors the formation of PAHs in the solid residue. ► The mechanism of PAH formation during SCWG had been discussed.
