Identification of the environmental impact from the use of different materials in domestic solar hot water systems

► The use of different materials-techniques in DSHWS is assessed by implementing LCA. ► To this purpose 28 different system configurations, were examined. ► LCA is performed with the help of “SimaPro” and the “Eco-Indicator '99”methodology. ► The impact from DSHWS use is considerably less than the electricity substituted. ► Impact to the environment is influenced mainly due to differences in efficiency.
