Detection and characterization of delaminations in composite plates via air-coupled probes and warped-domain filtering

The presence of a barely visible delamination on a 4.9 mm thick composite laminate was detected by exploiting the proposed approach. The obtained results are in good agreement with those obtained by using a commercial phased-array ultrasonic C-scan device.
