London's urban heat island: Impact on current and future energy consumption in office buildings

▸ We present current and future energy consumption for an office within London UHI. ▸ We developed 20 urban weather files according to future climate change scenarios. ▸ Heating decreases, cooling load and overheating increase from present to future. ▸ Internal heat gains are an important factor affecting energy performance. ▸ Future cooling requirements might lead to a five-fold increase of CO2 emissions.
