Probing molecular interactions of ionic liquid in industrially important solvents by means of conductometric and spectroscopic approach

► Molecular interaction of ionic liquid is probed by electrical conductances and FT-IR measurements. ► Ion-dipole interaction is prevalent in studied solutions. ► The conductance of [EMIm] Br is highest in case of AN. ► The diffusion coefficient of [EMIm] Br decrease from AN to DMSO. ► The mobility of the ions [EMIm]+ and Br−decreases from AN to DMSO.
