Solid solubility of germanium in silver

► The solvus line in the binary Ag-Ge system has been assessed based on measurements of electrical resistivity and specific gravity. ► The two measurement techniques yield close agreement. ► The data found in this contribution indicate lower solid solubility than in previous assessments. ► Redlich-Kister parameters have been evaluated to describe the solvus line.
