Specific heat relaxation-based critique of isothermal glass transition, zero residual entropy and time-average formalism for ergodicity loss

► We examine whether relaxation spectra show decrease in ergodicity and entropy. ► Thermodynamic properties do not indicate such a decrease. ► The spectra do not show isothermal glass transition. Annealing decreases the entropy of glass. ► Vanishing of specific heat near 0 K is no indication of vanishing entropy. ► There is no entropy loss on glass formation.
