Design and development of a model-based hardware simulator for photovoltaic array

► A model based hardware simulator for PV Arrays is proposed. ► The manufacturer dependent parameters in the model are extracted from the data sheet. ► A curve fitting technique is proposed for extracting the above said parameters. ► The simulator is developed and tested under steady state and transient conditions. ► This simulator can serve as a source for testing of interfacing power converters.
