MPPT control design and performance improvements of a PV generator powered DC motor-pump system based on artificial neural networks

► Improvement of a photovoltaic water pumping system operations is investigated. ► The proposed system consists of a PV generator powered DC motor-pump system. ► The DC motor is connected to the PV generator through buck-boost converter. ► MPPT algorithm is presented to generate maximum available power. ► Neural controller is proposed to guarantee the MPPT and adjust the voltage on motor terminals.
