Microgrid management with a quick response optimization algorithm for active power dispatch

► Fast response algorithm for active power dispatch has been developed. ► A representative microgrid has been modeled to be used in different tests. ► Cost function based algorithm obtains better global costs results than using SQP. ► Cost function based algorithm assures stable microsources running conditions. ► Maximum execution time of cost function based algorithm is about 1 ms.
