Maximum power point tracking of partially shaded solar PV system using modified Fibonacci search method with fuzzy controller

► We use improved Fibonacci method by considering power ripple and wide search range. ► Improved method tracks GP irrespective of the initial position of operating point. ► The proposed method is checked for different shading patterns through simulation. ► Improved method is also verified experimentally. ► The proposed GA optimized FLC yields improved tracking performance.
