Dust removal and desulphurization in a novel venturi scrubber

► The novel venturi scrubber is developed and composed of shuttle-typed components. ► The components are similar to convergent section, throat and divergent section of a venturi. ► The size and number of shuttle-typed components can be adjusted and selected conveniently ► Pressure drop, dust removal and desulphurization efficiency of the venturi scrubber were studied.
