A belief rule-based decision support system for clinical risk assessment of cardiac chest pain

► We applied a new belief rule-based inference methodology-RIMER to develop a CDSS. ► We validated the CDSS using a set of simulated patients with cardiac chest pain. ► The CDSS can provide better diagnostic performance than manual diagnosis. ► Diagnostic performance of the CDSS can be significantly improved after BRB training.
