An improved magnetic charged system search for optimization of truss structures with continuous and discrete variables

- An improved magnetic charged system search (IMCSS) is presented for optimization of truss structures.
- In IMCSS some of the most effective parameters in the convergence rate of HS scheme have been improved to achieve the best convergence.
- The IMCSS algorithm is applied for optimal design problem with both continuous and discrete variables.
