EPR-based material modelling of soils considering volume changes

► Evolutionary polynomial regression (EPR) is used to model the behaviour of soils. ► The volumetric behaviour of soil is considered in the EPR modelling. ► The developed models are compared with conventional material models. ► Particularly capability of EPR models in predicting volume change of soil is shown. ► The EPR models are incorporated in finite element model (FEM).
