This manuscript describes the implementation of a general purpose multi-tonal disturbance compensator for active noise and vibration control problems on a high-speed computational architecture, based on a field programmable gate array (FPGA). The attenuation of the multi-tonal disturbance is addressed here using active control techniques for narrowband noise attenuation, namely designing an adaptive feedforward controller based on multiple notch filters. Simulation tests are reported to illustrate the potential benefits and achievable performance of the proposed architecture.
