Interface shear strength and fracture behaviour of porous glass-fibre-reinforced composite implant and bone model material

► An in vitro model is designed to investigate the shear strength of a porous bone-implant interface. ► The mechanical interlock to bone model and push-out force rise in line with FRC porosity. ► The model of initial implant fixation with pins at the gypsum-FRC interface was not successful.
