This work proposes a methodological framework for dealing with the evaluation of Knowledge Management (KM) initiatives. The movement towards the so called knowledge society and the continuous advances in TIC, is driving implementation of KM projects in increasingly large numbers in many countries. Due to the inherent complexity caused by the numerous practices and technologies, and the various segments of actors involved in the KM initiatives, a single-objective and monetary appraisal seems to be insufficient for dealing with the problem. An approach, in the form of a multi-attributed, multi-actor decision-making, based on the Analytical Network Process (ANP), is proposed. Results from four case studies are given to illustrate its applicability in practice.
