Efficacy and predictors of long-term treatment success for Cognitive-Behavioral Treatment and Behavioral Weight-Loss-Treatment in overweight individuals with binge eating disorder

► We assess the long-term efficacy of CBT and BWLT in patients with BED. ► Outcomes assessed were related to binge eating, depressive feelings, and BMI. ► After a strong improvement during treatment outcomes worsened during follow-up, yet remained improved relative to baseline. ► Long-term effects between CBT and BWLT were comparable. ► Only rapid response predicted favorable treatment outcome in the long term.
