• Description of annealing process in bell furnace.
• Development of physical model for research of annealing.
• Proposal of new sensors for heat flow measurement.
• Use of statistical method for reliability verification of physical model.
• Possibility to create some new control method of annealing process.
User of industrial furnaces must from objective reasons resulting from a competitive environment solve the following issues such as furnace operation with minimum specific fuel consumption, achieve the high quality of the realized heat regime and reconstruct or build a new optimal working industrial furnace. Therefore, the task of the designer is to propose an industrial furnace so as to meet customer requirements. Customer usually defines requirements by power of the furnace, specific consumption, eligible investment capacity and financial parameters resulting from technology (design dimensions, temperature curve, type of furnace atmosphere, etc.). For large and capital-intensive heat aggregates has fully justified the use of modeling approach. The paper describes the design of a physical model of the bell furnace, whose task is to explore the process of annealing of steel coils in order to optimization. Optimization will cover the research of the annealing regimes in selected type of furnace atmosphere and in the design of measurement sensors for the purpose of verification of systems for indirect measurement of temperature in the charge.
