Maternal parenting behavior and emotion processing in adolescents-An fMRI study

Maternal supportive rather than control behavior seems to have an impact on neural emotion processing, which could also be the key factor for brain functional abnormalities in maltreated children. These results expand existent findings in maltreated children to healthy populations.
