An environmentally-flexible measurement system for ammunition temperature detection in the powder chamber with high accuracy
چکیده انگلیسی

This paper presents a high-performance measurement system for ammunition temperature detection in a powder chamber, which can be applicable in various external environments with a user-friendly interface. The measurement principle of this system is based on the technology of the multipoint measurement and multiple measurements. We theoretically analyze the system error and give a detailed introduction on the entire system architecture, including both the hardware components and the software modules developed under a LabVIEW platform. Moreover, an in-depth survey of the dominant system error sources and the corresponding constraints is presented according to the signal transmission processes. Experimental results are bench-marked according to the standard accuracy limits; the obtained system accuracy is better than 0.1 °C, which is consistent with theoretical analysis. This system provides an improved methodology for ammunition temperature measurement and conditioning with high-performance and environmental flexibilities, allowing the applications under tough environment such as the system exposure to ambient temperature.

► The accuracy of the measurement system is better than 0.1 °C.
► The measurement system is designed to detect ammunition temperature in power chamber.
► The accuracy is validated by analysis of error sources and experimental results.
► System has user-friendly interface, environmental flexibility and high reliability.
