Short-run price and income elasticity of gasoline demand: Evidence from Lebanon

► Gasoline demand is investigated as a function of structural breaks. ► It is price and income inelastic when structural breaks are ignored. ► However, it is price and income elastic with breaks triggering structural changes. ► Thus, excise tax should be adjusted periodically to count for structural changes.
