Overcoming energy efficiency barriers through systems approach-A conceptual framework

► We propose a systems approach to overcome energy efficiency barriers. ► Barriers are grouped into Motivation, Capability, Implementation and Results. ► Case study shows that there is a feedback loop from Results to Motivation. ► Current Results will affect future Motivation. ► Overall energy efficiency is only as strong as the weakest link between the stages.
