Estimates of China's national and regional transport sector CO2 emissions in 2007

► We proposed a new way of estimating China's road transport CO2 emissions. ► We calculated CO2 emissions from the road, rail, aviation, and navigation sectors at the national and regional levels in China. ► CO2 emissions in China's transport sector in 2007 reached to 436 Mt, higher than 408 Mt estimated by IEA. ► CO2 emissions in transport sector have closely associated with GDP.
