With respect to clinical biology laboratories' French legal regime, the January 2010 regulation's trigger an in deep reform of its activities (medical issues) and statutory organization. This modification of the French Code of Public Health defines the liabilities and missions of medical biologists (medicine or pharmacists with either national specialisation or EEC recognized diploma). Furthermore, laboratories may now be exploited in a multi-specific localisation, as far as they respect specific corporate forms, are accredited by the “COFRAC” and filed with the ISO 15189 international standard criteria's.
