• Efficient SBFEM meshing technique for standard specimens.
• Highly accurate numerical values of SIFs and T-stress for standard specimens.
• Precise Padé approximants of the SIFs and T-stress for standard specimens.
The scaled boundary finite element method is employed to obtain highly accurate solutions of the stress intensity factors (SIFs) and T-stress for standard homogeneous and bimaterial fracture specimens. The solutions are assembled into a practical database (up to 6 significant figures) corresponding to various crack lengths. Using a curve fitting technique, precise Padé approximants of the SIFs and T-stress are also developed, which retain a maximum error of <0.28% for any specimen. The findings of this paper are useful for engineering analysis and design, as well as verification of current and future numerical schemes for computing SIFs and T-stress.
