Solubility of RE2O3 (REÂ =Â La and Nd) in light rare earth fluoride molten salts

The chemical reaction of RE2O3 in related REF3-LiF (RE = La and Nd) molten salts is RE2O3 + REF3 = 3REOF, the sharp initial temperatures are 710 and 668 K. The solubility of RE2O3 in the corresponding molten salts was about 1.72%-3.71% in mass fraction and the content of REF3 is beneficial to the dissolution of RE2O3.142
