Probing of the supramolecular interaction between anti-cancer drug carmofur and a Zn4L4 metal-organic cage in acetonitrile

An anti-cancer predrug Carmofur (HCFU) with a long alkyl chain was captured by a Zn4L4 tetrahedral metal organic cage MOC-19 through supramolecular host-guest interaction, which can act as the enzymatic catalyst to promote forming 5-FU as the metabolite of HCFU.232
