Redox shield enfolding a magnetic core

Nano sized nona- and tetranuclear lanthanide oxo-hydroxo clusters with sixteen and six ferrocene units anchored on lanthanide oxide surface has been synthesized. Magnetism studies of dysprosium oxo-hydroxo cluster containing sixteen ferrocenes shows slow relaxation of magnetization at lower temperatures.164
