Anagostic, mono- and hexahapta interactions in Tl(I) dithiocarbamates: A new precursor for the preparation of Tl2S nanoparticles

Two new Tl(I) dithiocarbamate complexes were prepared. η1-Tl⋯C(S2) and η6-Tl⋯C6(phenyl ring) interactions are observed in 1. Complex 2 shows rare intermolecular anagostic Tl⋯H-C interactions. Spherical shape Tl2S nanoparticles were prepared within 2 min from 1. The Tl2S nanoparticles are affected by the method of preparation.117
