Temperature-controlled formation of two Zn(II)-coordination polymers based on flexible o-phenylenediacetic acid and rigid 1,4-bis(imidazol-1-yl)benzene

In this study, two new coordination polymers were synthesized at 120 and 170 °C using the same components. Complexes 1 and 2 are 1D and 2D coordination polymers. The most striking features of the complexes are that when the temperature is increased, the dimensionality is increased. Complexes 1 and 2 show blue emissions.110
