Syntheses, characterization, and crystal structures of few dioxomolybdenum(VI) complexes incorporating tridentate hydrazones

Ligating properties of hydrazone Schiff base ligands are explored to synthesize three mononuclear dioxomolybdenum(VI) complexes, which are characterized by different spectroscopic and single crystal X-ray crystallographic methods. Thermal analyses and ESI-MS analyses reveal that the coordinated methanol is loosely held to the MoO22+ core. Hirshfeld surface analyses were carried out to get inside to the intermolecular interactions.
