Formation of three photoluminescent zinc(II) complexes with Zn2O2 cores: Examples of bi-dentate bonding modes of potentially tri- and tetra-dentate Schiff bases

Three new photo-luminescent dinuclear zinc(II) complexes with Zn2O2 cores have been synthesized and characterized. The structures have been confirmed by X-ray crystal structure analysis. All three complexes contain zwitterionic Schiff bases.
