Chemical constituents from Glochidion assamicum

► Eleven compounds were isolated from Glochidion assamicum for the first time. ► One new triterpenoid saponin was isolated from G. assamicum. ► A spirostane-type C27 steroid was first obtained from the genus Glochidion. ► Lupane-type triterpenes may be useful chemotaxonomic markers for the genus Glochidion. ► The presence of the C27 steroid will be chemotaxonomically significant for G. assamicum.
